About ODS Performance
Using decades of motorsport design and racing experience to bring a new arsenal of parts into the hands of Porsche enthusiasts. Read below for the full story
Welcome to the new home of ODS Performance
Since 2012, Ordnance Delivery Systems LLC has been assisting other companies with design of top of the line, no compromise products utilized by hundreds of thousands of people in the automotive, bicycling, firearms, power sports, and other industries.
The origins of the passion that inspires and motivates us can be traced back much further than ODS however. Since the 90’s our founders have been engineers for some of the biggest players in the Japanese after-market, as well as for tier 1 suppliers, and race engineers for a very successful time attack team. We have done endurance racing as drivers and in support roles. Our racing roots go back to autocross.
Beginning in 2019, we are using our vast experience in design, engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing to enter the automotive world with our own brand. Focusing on our most recently attained obsession; Porsche. Why Porsche? Because while they make amazing vehicles, there is always room for improvement. And the challenge of improving on what is arguably the best platform in the race-meets-street world we find invigorating. Porsche’s racing heritage as well as their grandiose stature in the racing community add to the pride we can feel when improving on their potential.
In the coming months, we will be laying the foundations for our future. ODS is excited to share our future with you by being very open with our design philosophy, testing, struggles and successes. We want our customers to be part of the ODS family and being new and small, we recognize and appreciate that you have other choices, yet you chose to be part of what we offer; part of the ODS family. To pay you back, we will spend the coming months and years connecting with as many of you as we can and answering any question you may have. The ideals of ODS Performance:
- Build relationships with the customers on trust.
- Listen to what the customers want. They can and will guide our future.
- Let the customers play a role. Let them feel like they are part of ODS.
The general design philosophy of ODS Performance:
- Use the best material for the application. Never choose a lower grade for the sole reason of cost.
- If the part does not improve upon the factory part in some way, do not make it, regardless of time invested.
- Analyze the factory parts from every angle you can imagine. There is always a reason it was designed the way it was. Be sure your improvement does not introduce an unacceptable weakness.
- Utilize advanced manufacturing where it makes sense. The precision it adds is usually worth the investment.
Where is ODS Performance now, and where is ODS Performance headed:
- Currently, we are a small start-up with only a few products in the production pipeline
- We have a handful of products in our heads and on the computer
- Once we are a little more established, we will be looking to our customers for input on the direction they would like us to head.
We are not video editors, directors, photographers, web designers, or salesmen. What we are is automotive enthusiasts with a desire to share our passion and hopefully play a role in inspiring others the way we have been inspired. We want to grow ODS Performance into a company our customers can be proud of and feel they payed a role in molding and improving.
